Hello Guys I'm Showing to you, how to port mediatek boot.img/recovery.img without pc mt65xx, mt67xx, etc jellybean, kitkat, lollipop, marshmallow & nougat. So let's start and follow our guide.

This step is very easy & 100% working. See this full guide carefully & get success. Using this guide you can port all mediatek boot.img & recovery.img. I hope it working for all & this guide first make xda-developers.

2. ApkTool Any Version
3. Root Explorer
4. Some Brain

How To Port Boot/Recovery.img Without PC :

Step 01 : Open Root Explorer & create "boot edit" folder in root/cache/

Step 02 : Copy & past stock boot.img "boot edit" folder under.

Step 03 : Now Open Apktool 4.4 or Apktool 4.6 (recommended) access root permission "cache" folder.

Step 04 : Click "boot.img" file & select "expack-mt657x(need root)" command & unpack & copy all extract file sd card under

Step 05 : Same guide unpack port boot.img 

Step 06 : Replace stock to port folder
              kernel
              ramdisk/default.prop (compare stock to port)
              ramdisk/ueventd.rc

Step 07 : After replacing click ramdisk folder & select "repack-mt657x(need root)" command 

Step 08 : Done

Step 01 : At First Download "Custom Carrier Label.zip" File And Extract it.

Step 02 : Now Decompile "SystemUI.apk" Using ApkTool

Step 03 : Replace "Custom Carrier Label" Folder Under "SystemUI_res" Folder File To Stock "SystemUI_res" Folder Under.

Step 04 : Now Go To res/layout Folder Under & Add This Code statusbar.xml & gemini_status_bar.xml File Under. 

Search:= id/notification_icon_area  & Add This Line Before </LinearLayout> Under.

Step 07 : Now Recompile, Sing & Make Flashable Zip File And Flash it Using Recovery.

How To Setup ApkTool Android Version :

Step 01 : Install Root Explorer & Active Root Permission

Step 02 : Copy System Folder To Internal or External Storage
            - System/framework/framework-res.apk
            - System/framework/mediatek-res.apk
            - System/priv-app/systemui.apk

Step 03 : If your are using ApkTool 4.4.x to 6.x then extract your downloaded zip or rar file Storage Under.

Or, If you are using ApkTool X 7.x.x Version then install ApkTool X open & Install also 2nd time. Go to settings under and filup root check box.

Step 04 : ApkTool X Setup Requirement
For Kitkat :
Apktool version :- 1.5.2 or 2.0.1
AAPT version :- 4.4

For Lollipop :
Apktool version :- 2.0.3 or 2.1.1
AAPT version :- 5.0 or 5.1

For Marshmallow :
Apktool version :- 2.1.1 or 2.2.0
AAPT version :- 6.0

For Nougat :
Apktool version :- 2.2.0 or New

[Guide] How To Root Android MediaTek Marshmallow Based Device Using PC

This Tutorial Make by S M Nahid Emon, This Guide 100% Working & Tested. If First Method Not Working Then Try 2nd Method, 2nd Method 100% Working.

Disclaimer : If you follow us this guide, then your device may be destroyed or useless. Moreover, if you root your device, the warranty will be lost on your device. If any damage or warranty of your device is damaged, then we will not be liable.

How To Root Marshmallow Device (MTK) :
It is a hard method for new users and main factor is needed PC or Laptop. I also try to working very easily for new users. Marshmallow MTK device rooting method without pc not available now. Lava iris 820 MTK device without pc rooting method coming soon. How to root marshmallow device (mtk) using pc so let's start.

1st Method : Using SP Flash Tool :

Requirement Tools :
  1. Laptop or PC [Recommended Win 7 or Win 8.1]
  2. USB Cable [Working & Tested]
  3. MTK Chipset Android Device
  4. VCOM Drivers
  5. SP Flash Tool
  6. Scatter File For You Device MT6580
  7. Recovery For You Device MTK [CWM/Philz Touch/TWRP]
  8. Flashable SuperSU.Zip File [Updated]

Step 01 : Extract SP Flash Tools Zip File & Make a Folder and Rename it Example : iris 820.


Step 02 : Copy MT6580 Scatter File, Recovery.img File & Past it "iris 820" Folder Under.


Step 03 : Open Sp Flash Tool Software & Click "Scatter-loading" Button.


Step 04 : Go to "iris 820" Folder Under & Select MT6580 Scatter File.


Step 05 : Now Select "Download Only" Option.


Step 06 : Remove Your Device Battery & Click Download Icon Button & Connect Your Device Using USB Cable & Recharge Battery Under 3sec.


Step 07 : After Flashing Complete Show Green Ring.


Step 08 : Copy "SuperSU.zip" File & Past SD Card Under.

Step 09 : Connect SD Card Your Lava Iris 820 Device Under & Press Volume (+) and Power Button & Get Recovery Mode.


Step 10 : Click Install File Option & Select "SuperSU.zip" File and Install it.

Step 11 : Now Press Reboot or Restart Option and Wait For Booting.

Step 12 : Done.


2nd Method : Using Miracle Box

  1. Laptop or Pc [Better Win7 & Win8.1]
  2.  USB Cable

Step 10 : After Flashing Complete Show Green Ring.

Step 01 : Decompile Settings.apk

Step 02 : Go To res/values & Open "Strings.xml" Using Notepad++ & Add This Code Berofe  & Save it.
